Synopsis
A recent study estimated that 3.4 billion people worldwide are effected by neurodegenerative diseases[1] placing a major burden on health systems. For many diseases the current treatments only address the symptoms and are not disease progression, whilst these treatments can be very helpful there is an urgent need for disease modifying therapies. Over the last few years we have seen significant advances in our understanding of the underlying biology, identification of new therapeutic targets and the design of novel drug candidates. This meeting will highlight leading edge research in the design and development of new therapeutics.
This meeting is building upon the very successful New Approaches to the Treatment in Parkinson’s meeting held in November 2025.
